Overview

This 2- to 4-hour electric bike tour offers a view of Rome as the sun sets and the city lights come on. Riding a Cannondale E-Bike equipped with anti-puncture tires, participants follow a planned route that covers about 12 kilometers, moving safely mostly on low-traffic or traffic-free streets. The tour starts with stops at landmarks including Piazza del Colosseo, where the guide explains the 2,000-year history of the Colosseum, and Colle Capitolino, offering views over the illuminated Roman Forum. The ride continues past the Teatro di Marcello, the Portico of Octavia, Piazza Farnese with its Renaissance palace, and Piazza Navona, where riders circle the central fountain. Other stops include the Pantheon, Piazza Sant'Ignazio with its Baroque church and illusion painting, Piazza Di Pietra with columns from Hadrian’s Temple, and the Spanish Steps descending from Trinità dei Monti church. The route also includes the Trevi Fountain at night, Piazza Venezia with its collection of monuments, and Via dei Fori Imperiali, a road that cuts through the Roman Forum and Imperial Fora. The 4-hour option adds a dinner at an Italian trattoria about 1 hour and 15 minutes after the tour starts. The meal includes appetizers, a choice of pizza or pasta, a soft drink or glass of wine or beer, water, and coffee. The tour guide speaks English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, or Italian. Helmets are mandatory and provided, along with a handlebar bag and biodegradable water bottle. Children aged 1-4 ride free on a child seat; those aged 5-8 use a child extension, and children 9 and older can ride their own E-Bikes. The tour requires at least four participants and follows a strict 300-pound weight limit for equipment.
