Overview
The excursion begins with a private pickup from hotels in Cusco at 4:30 am. Travelers are driven by private transportation to the town of Mollepata, where breakfast is served. After breakfast, the vehicle continues through changing landscapes to Soraypampa. From Soraypampa, the hike to Humantay Lake starts. The uphill walk takes about one and a half hours to reach the lake, which sits at 4,250 meters above sea level. At Humantay Lake, there is time to observe the surroundings and participate in a traditional offering ceremony to the sacred Apus. After the visit, the group returns on foot to Soraypampa to board the vehicle. The tour then drives back to Mollepata for lunch. Following lunch, the return trip to Cusco begins, with an expected arrival around 5:00 pm. The total duration of the excursion is approximately 12 hours. The tour includes private transportation, a private guide, walking sticks, oxygen assistance, breakfast, and lunch. Entrance fees to the lake area are not included.
