Participants begin this half-day canyoning trip by walking through a native beech forest to reach a deep canyon near Queenstown. The roughly four-hour adventure includes moving through the canyon by zipline, abseiling down waterfalls, jumping into clear pools, floating along narrow water passages, and descending natural chutes. The tour uses a private vehicle for transport and provides all necessary safety gear including wetsuits, helmets, and waterproof footwear. Two guides lead each group to assist throughout the trip. After the canyoning activities, guests can use the on-site showers and changing rooms and enjoy light refreshments like tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. This trip is designed for people with a reasonable fitness level and confidence in deep water; no prior canyoning experience is needed. The minimum age is 12 years, and participants must not exceed 120kg in weight. Swimwear and towels are not supplied and should be brought by guests.

Pack an unforgettable Queenstown canyoning adventure into half a day. Check in at the Canyon Explorers base at 37 Camp Street, Queenstown, 15 minutes before departure. From there, travel approximately 15 minutes to our canyoning base to be fitted with specialist equipment. After a full safety briefing, walk through native beech forest to the canyon. Then zipline, abseil down waterfalls, slide through natural rock chutes, plunge into clear pools and float through narrow canyon passageways. Choose how far you want to challenge yourself along the way. Your experienced guides provide clear instructions and, where possible, easier or more challenging routes to suit your confidence. After the canyon, return to base for a hot shower and complimentary tea, coffee or hot chocolate. No previous canyoning experience is required, but participants must be confident in water and have a reasonable level of fitness.

YOU MUST CHECK IN 15 MINUTES BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME at the Adventure Centre at 39 Camp Street, Queenstown. Nearest intersection is Shotover St.

Please check in at the Canyon Explorers base at 37 Camp Street, Queenstown, at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure time. The base is near the corner of Camp Street and Shotover Street. Please allow extra time to find parking and make your way to the meeting point.
