Overview

This tour takes place at SUMOLAND, located on the first floor of Takashima Ryogoku Mansion in Ryogoku, Tokyo, an area known as the home of sumo wrestling. The venue is a short walk from Ryogoku Station and near sightseeing spots such as Asakusa, Akihabara, Nihonbashi, and Tokyo Skytree. The experience lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours and is supervised by the 63rd Yokozuna. It begins with a ring entrance ceremony where former top-division sumo wrestlers enter the ring. Next, guests watch a sumo show featuring live performances by former professional wrestlers. After the show, guests, including children, can participate in a mochi-pounding challenge alongside the wrestlers. Following this, there is a sumo bout challenge where guests may enter the ring to test their strength against a wrestler; children are also welcome to join. After these activities, guests have time to take photos with the wrestlers. Smartphones are allowed, and staff can assist with taking pictures. The experience ends with the distribution of an original souvenir set and printed photos. Dinner is included and features an authentic chicken chanko hot pot prepared under the supervision of the Isegahama stable. Vegan and vegetarian meal options are available if requested at least two days before the event. Gluten-free and halal meals are not provided, but guests may bring their own food. Seat assignments are made by the venue and cannot be selected. If many guests want to participate in the mochi-pounding or sumo challenges, participation may be limited to one person per group or decided by lottery. The event is designed to be friendly and suitable for both adults and children.
