Overview

This two-hour event takes place in Tokyo’s Asakusa district at a venue built around a real sumo ring (dohyo). The program begins with a traditional geisha dance performance. A live host provides bilingual commentary in Japanese and English, explaining sumo rules, history, training exercises, and matches. Retired sumo wrestlers perform traditional techniques and playful sumo bouts for entertainment. Selected guests may participate in a sumo challenge inside the ring; if more people want to join than spots available, participants are chosen by lottery. During the show, guests eat all-you-can-eat chicken chanko-nabe hot pot accompanied by a Japanese set meal and receive one complimentary drink. Additional drinks can be purchased. The event ends with a printed group photo with the sumo wrestlers and geisha, along with a souvenir gift set. Vegetarian and vegan meals are available upon request at least two days in advance. Wheelchair-accessible seating is limited and should be requested at the time of booking.
